Advantages of AWS vs Azure

In the current era, cloud storage/service is the hottest and trending topic, as well as the solution to all the problems related to storing, managing, and accessing data. Cloud tech is utilised by almost every nation in the world. Nowadays, cloud services are not just utilized by Big Companies or just the IT sector, they are employed in almost every sector. For example, take Netflix- Netflix uses AWS for cloud storage and streaming videos over the internet.

Even as an individual, we use cloud services on daily basis. Our uses can vary from just storing pictures in the Google/Apple cloud or streaming videos over the internet to running instances on the cloud.

Although cloud technology receives a lot of applause and high acclaim, maintaining and protecting data is a challenging feat. We typically hear about the two major companies in this market: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, when it comes to the accountable and efficient cloud service provider, whether as an Iaas/Paas/Saas or a hybrid model.

Hey! There fellow tech geeks. I hope you all are doing well. Today, via this post I will be describing the advantages of these two big cloud service platforms namely – AWS and Azure.

AWS And Azure – An Introduction

AWS

It is a cloud-computing platform that is accessible over the Internet and provides low-cost services.

It is the most advanced and commonly used cloud platform, with 200+ featured services available from data centers across the world. Additionally, it allows lower prices and efficient instance or service delivery.

Amazon infrastructure technologies are tremendous, comprising computing, storage, and databases, and it integrates advanced IoT.

Azure

It is Microsoft’s cloud computing platform for global use. Many cloud services, including computing, statistics, memory, and communications, are offered by it. Customers may use these solutions to create and expand new apps as well as run existing models on the public cloud.

The Azure platform is designed to help enterprises overcome problems and achieve their objectives. It serves all businesses, including e-commerce and financing, and is compliant with open-source technologies. This enables users the freedom to use the equipment and tech that they want.

The Advantages of AWS and Azure

Key Benefits

Data Centers

  • AWS – It has 125+ data centers in several worldwide locations, totaling over twenty-six million square feet. These data centers are being developed in a highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable environment, and they are now or will be divided into 34 regions (AWS’s term for a location where data centers are grouped).
  • Azure – It has 200+ physical data centers in several worldwide locations, each of which has a cluster of computer servers. These data centers are divided into 70+ regions (MS Azure’s term for a grouping of data centers), which are segregated by a latency-defined barrier and linked by 100k+ miles of fiber-optic networks on land and under the sea.

Cost and Pricing

AWS – Access to 80+ unique Amazon cloud services, including those in computation, security, analytics, the Internet of Things, ai, etc is provided in the Free Category. The Free Level includes three types of free offerings:

  • Forever free—a continuous free service granted to all AWS users.
  • The first year of AWS service is free, later, you must pay the standard service fees.
  • Certain services are available for a limited time after activation as part of a free trial.

Azure – When you sign up for an Azure account, you will obtain a $200 credit to utilize during the first 30 days. You also receive free access to 50+ Azure cloud service offerings in areas including computing, memory, databases, protection, ai, and others.

You can get two sorts of free offers with an Azure account:

  • Forever free—unlimited access to 25+ cloud services with consumption constraints.
  • 1 year free—about a year on your new subscription, you will get access to 20+ cloud goods.

Infrastructure

  • AWS began growing infrastructure from the outset. Its strategy has been to stay at the forefront of the innovation curve and provide options that IT personnel can simply understand and utilize to serve their storage and computing objectives on demand.
  • Azure, on the other hand, was created as a comprehensive solution and has been tailored toward the corporate from the start. It originated as a PaaS, allowing developers to construct apps without having to care about the servers on which they operate.

Wrapping Up

I hope this post has truly served the purpose of describing the advantages of AWS and Azure to the audiences. It’s harder to decide among two which one is better as they both provide some distinguishing features than the other. But, one thing is sure these two are the big players in cloud tech.
